I am ramping up my enjoyment of reloading as we head into the colder months. Any recommendations for the best online sources for reloading powder? I'm using Winchester 231 for pistol and IMR 4895 for rifle. Thanks!

Another vote for Powder Valley if shopping on line ...

I try to buy from local Gun Shops and Cabela's in / around my cuty for two reasons ... avoide the hazmat and shipping fee's and try to give the local gun shops all the business I can ... I Want them to stay in business.

Tip: I think you have a Cabelas near you. Order online, ship to store, go pick it up. No hazmat. No Shipping.

Edit: Ooops. That's Hamburg not Hanover. Not that close. Is there a Bass Pro in Harrisburg?

Last time I bought some the W231 was $1 cheaper than the HP38 and it's the same powder.

I have had good luck with Powder Valley. Try to make group buys online and pickup at PV. It's 2 hours round trip but there is also couple of gun shops in Winfield on the way. :)

Powder Valley often has free hazmat and/or shipping. Get on their email list for notices.

Grafs has done well by me since I started handloading over 1s years ago. Natchez and Mid-South Shooters Supply have also been reliable.

Bought Accurate #5

I had a recent purchase with Graf's. Reasonable price and seamless transaction. Very satisfied

American Reloading is back up and running... New website this week.

Today, 5 lbs.of one of their "Similar to Alliant Blue Dot" pistol powders (MP 257) was $104, shipped.

I have used others (Similar to 800-X, IMR Blue) with success: just follow their START load suggestions and work up.

Cheers!

P.S. Their projectiles can be a real find: I've grabed 9mm HST & V-Crown bullets (both Blems and NEW) for around $75 per 500! Haven't tried the pulled ones (yet?)...

I've bought from Powder Valley, Midsouth, Natchez, Selway, Precision Reloading. Haven't regretted any purchases.

If you're looking for a specific powder this is a good search engine:
In Stock : Powder : Smokeless

I agree with these sources. I would add Midway and Brownells too. Also check each before buying because they often run sales and have no hazmat fees or shipping which can save a good bit.

Thanks for the info guys! Lots of good choices here. Powder Valley looks to be first up on my list. Going to give them a try. Appreciate the help.
