S&W Model 60-15

I previously posted this perhaps in the incorrect forum, so I will try my luck here.


I am no stranger to removing & reassembling the side plate on S&W revolvers. However, I do have a question regarding removal & reassembly of the side plate on a Model 60-15 with a integral trigger lock which is: Do I have to be aware of any special procedure required because of the trigger lock, and if so, what is that detailed procedure? Thank you for your time.

Do you mean the hammer lock? Just so we're clear on what the question is.

Lock is behind the hammer. Pop the plate like always.

I stand corrected...it is the hammer lock. Thank you all for your replies.I was just being cautious before proceeding...the Model 60 was recently purchased, and is the only revolver I have with a hammer lock which IMO is just liability avoidance on the part of the manufacturer.
