1) No such animal as a .45 Long Colt, the cartridge/chambering is simply .45 Colt.

2) What brand and model revolver do you need these for?

3) HKS is about the most recognized name in speed loaders.

The HKS speedloaders for my S&W #25-5 .45 Colt are marked 25-5. Prices usually range from $8.50-$12.50. Most any gunshop carries them, though the more obscure ones may be difficult to find, but can be ordered. Try "Googling" it.

If you're looking for something to feed a S&W M25-5 or similar, you might want to look for some used Safariland J-A10's. These are COMP 1 models with the Safariland center post trigger that many prefer for fast reloads. You may have to hunt a bit, but they're still out there.

BTW, the J-A10's will fit Webleys modified to .45 Colt, and Colt New Services in .45 Colt. I haven't tried them yet, but they should also work with New Service .38-40 and .44-40. I suspect that .455 MK2 rims are too thin to grip well, and the short OAL might cause problems.

The designation ".45 Long Colt" originated amongst military personnel to prevent confusion with the smaller .45 Schofield. It has become a widely used alternative name for the cartridge, and adopted by Colt for use in designating the chambering in its own Single Action Army revolvers. Wikipedia

Go to the Colt factory site and kindly notice the fact that the company refers to the .45 LONG Colt. There is no need to be such a purist if the information is transmitted. You obviously knew what the reference was about.

See the photo below. Those are "magazines", not "clips", surrounding my S&W #908. Some folks and factories do not know the difference.
