Best red dot for under $150????

I want to get a new red dot for my 15 22. Ive owned a few that basically were all junk. NC star, tasco etc. I have an eotech on my bushmaster and absolutely love it. Unfortunately the budget isnt quite there for one on my 22. Any thoughts on what is the best bang for the buck? I really like the bushnell ACOG clone but i dont know.

I think the Vortex Strikefire and the Bushnell TRS-25 meet your requirements.

This is a good clone. I have used it before and on the .22 it will hold zero fairly well. Just don't drop it or remount and expect it to be perfect. The battery life is not bad but nothing at all like the real thing. Not even close, really. In my honest opinion this is great for a .22 being used for plinking or small game even. I can get head shots on small gophers at 25-50 yards with this optic and i am not anything more than a mediocre shooter at best. This is one of the better point and shoot optics for your buck out there.

I use Aimpoint Micros on my stuff , I took advantage of the sale in 2010 and went all in, use on my 15-22 and 5.56 and also my M930SPX could not be happier. Obviously not everyone can use an almost $600 red dot on one if not all of their shooters.

If i needed another red dot I am quite certain I would buy either the Bushnell (as I have had a lot of success with Bushnell stuff in the past) or definitely the Primary Arms, they are great people an d very helpful on the phone and everyone loves their stuff.

Big fan of the Primary Arms stuff. I kept reading about how awesome they were back when I was getting into the AK platform, so I gave them a shot. I have a hard time looking at other people's stuff in that price range now. If I can't throw it down my driveway, I'm not interested.

My friend with the .308 rifle had a micro on his 12ga. slug gun. It was on a cantilever mount off of his barrel. That was the only combination I thought we might have issues with, but it worked perfectly.

I have the version that has the "T" dot. Red or green with different brightness settings.

On my 15-Sport, I run a Primary Arms M3 Clone.

So far, I like the Bushnell Trophy better. The adjustments are more precise. The dot on the Bushnell Trophy is smaller than the 3 MOA dot on the Primary Arms.

I ran the Bushnell on my BCM 5.56 until I got my Aimpoint PRO. The Bushnell is a great little RDS for the money, but it is bigger and heavier than some other options.

I've got the M4 clone and I love it. 2 MOA dot, 4 reticules to choose. Holds zero well. I take it off the MP15-22 every time I go to the range during transport.

By all means do yourself a favor and check out primary arms for m3 and or m4 red dot or scopes. use one on my mp15-22 for steel challenge works great with the high mount.

I have the TruGlo Open Red Dot Sight Series....around $100 and it works great. Easy to set up and site in... multiple reticles, red and green, infinite brightness... check em out.

I have the Sight Mark with a 4 MOA.
I wish I would have looked harder. The Primary Arms says to be a 2 MOA.

PP but I like the smaller MOA.
I'm also running a Sight Mark 3X magnifier.
