My ccw should be here soon and ive tried many ways and holsters to conceal the sw40ve. nothing has really worked yet. any ideas? trying to keep the price down as much as possible.

Most people who can't carry a larger pistol aren't dressing for it. A sigma is not a pocket pistol, but can be carried with either IWB or even OWB if the clothes are chosen for the purpose.
If the chosen attire is bicycle shorts and a white T-shirt. that's way more challenge than a dark shirt worn outside pants with a good gun belt and holster.
 
Lobo - Kholster - Crossbreed

Have you looked at Kholster or Crossbreed, also Lobo gunleather for IWB type?

I carry easily 'small of the back' with a cheap IWB wearing a short sleeve dress shirt. Shirts untucked btw.

For me its less about the holster and more about the pattern of hawaiian shirt.
Today its hula girls. :D
 
Despite the "ooh gasp" of an earlier thread when i mentioned it, i've carried mex/strong-side when not in uniform for 35yrs....autos stay put better than revolvers for that type carry as the grip area is the largest part rather than the cylinder under the waist, and so don't have near the risk of doing the magic appearing gun on the floor at the bottom of your pants leg at the local store....the loaded Sigma weighs about the same as an unloaded M10 M&P, so is far from a heavy gun, so standard slacks with belt hold everything up just fine....slacks and an untucked shirt will hide most anything, even on scrawny old Rangers, straight cut shirt tails look dressier when untucked....this advise may not work well for folk whose waist is larger than their shoulder measurements, but i wouldn't know, as mine ain't....can't get anymore minimalist, which is what we wirey folk need anyhow, as holsters add a lot of bulk to people that aren't already carriying a fair amount of bulk....the Sigma hi-profile mag release button can be activated by a tight fit into a bucket seat, but otherwise seems better than many in that regard, including most 1911s.
 
ive debated carryin mex style...i might just do it depending on where im going. i always wear a nice loose fitting tee and jeans or shorts and the holster i have is still stickin out just a little too much. im looking into either the kholster or crossbreed but i might just end up using my M-9 berreta holster from overseas. should fit. ill let yall know what i decide to do.
 
I carry a cheap neoprene uncle mikes' iwb. I carry at 1 o' clock which may not be for everyone but I am skinny, I don't wear baggy clothes- levis relaxed straight jeans that are not over sized for me but my actual waist size-that's a fairly slim cut but I don't wear nut huggers either as the current trend seems to be, they went from ridiculously baggy to ridiculously tight so I don't recommend looking ridiculous. Oh I'm ranting sort, jeans and a t shirt that's loose but not baggy and I don't print. As mentioned above dark colors work best and most my tee's are black. This may not be the best holster for reholstering one handed but I figure if I have to pull my gun out there is not going to be a race to see how fast you can reholster, I'll probably call the cops and leave my gun where they can see it. There are better holsters but this is the thinnest holster I have, some kydex holsters seem to print worse than the gun itself. I keep mine right at belt level, no cant and it hides quite well for me but everyone had a different body type and style, sometimes less is more. I've also found soft pliable cotton actualy works better than stiff shirts.
 
I like my homemade IWB kydex holster. Sometimes I place it under the belt, but outside the pants for a little more comfort though less concealed. For me, kydex is light, retains its shape and water/sweat proof here in the hot humid south.
 
I use a don hume, JT slide OWB holster. It keeps the gun high, and tight to me. The only time you can see the "butt" of the gun is when I wear a polo of somesort, and then you cant tell unless I move in a direction that pulls the shirt up against it, but then it wouldnt matter how you had it...check the jt slide out, I love it!
 
Make sure you are using a good stiff belt, paired up with a solid holster. I got a Beltman belt with the extra stiffeners and holsters I thought were junk turned into favorites, and saggy pants and sore backs were a thing of the past. Other than that a t-shirt (a wear alone, not an undershirt thickness) should be enough cover.
 
I use a Safariland #27 IWB, originally for a Glock 23, with the tenstioning device removed. After some wear-in time it gives a good fit with my 40VE.
 
I carry a Sigma 9VE apendix IWB. Kholster works good as does a cheapie "Ace Case" (size 9, I think). It prints a little but That doesn't bother me. Nobody ever notices.
 
I also have a bladetech kydex which I love, I mentioned in another thread they will custom make you any of their holsters for free-you just have to wait longer. They already have 1 for the sigma but I was recommended the nano by my lgs and ordered it through them. The nano is their newest version of their classic IWB but the kydex is slightly thinner and they've done a couple things to slim it down. As much as I love it my skinny a%% can only carry it with a cover garment like a jacket or sweater. The guy who sold me on it was one of the older guys at the shop who is a big guy, probably 6'4ish and heavy set. On him I didn't know he had it until he showed it to me. It is an excellent holster but only suits me for winter carry, I would recommend it to anyone though. Nice solid "click"when holstering and unholstering, I'm still searching for the perfect holster for myself though. As much as I like my simple uncle mikes I did catch myself printing yesterday so I may have to start wearing an untucked short sleeve button up some days. I really like the comfort of carrying @4-5 but again on my skinny frame bending over to pick something up or squating down to grab guns & ammo of the magazine rack makes the grip separate from my body and print pretty bad and sitting on my gun and holster isn't always that comfortable..in my truck its fine but on a regular chair not so much. I would like to find something that rides deeper in the holster, I may try buying an oversized uncle mikes to see if I can get my grip right at my belt as the higher a gun rides on me the more it prints. Luckily I live in seattle and most days a light jacket is needed anyway..anyone recommend any leather holsters that are thinner/more flexible? Maybe without a reinforced "mouth"and affordable? I really like the style of the alabama holster companies "ace" but it is only for subcompacts, I like the belt clip being really high on the holster though.
 
I CC mine in a IWB Luke Adams holster in a thin T-shirt.

I carry mine in a Milt Sparks, I know that doesn't fit the 'trying to keep the price down', but one of the first things I was taught, "unless you want a box of holsters, buy the right ones from the begining". He recommended Milt Sparks, I listened, and paid. It turned out to be good advice, took awhile to break in, but now that it has, it's worth it. I have a decent belt, need to upgrade it. I have a few pairs of shorts, pants that are a size bigger to fit the IWB. To carry correctly, one needs to dress around the carry routine. There are plenty of good holster makers out there, they are recommended for a reason.

Exactly the same boat here. We just passed our CC law here in Wisconsin and we expect to be carrying by the end of the year. I'm trying to figure out how to CC my Sigma9.

Did you guys have to adjust you clothes size and style to accommodate CC?
 
If you are considering Mexican carry, also consider using a belly band around your waist.

I find that a belly band is about as good as Mexican carry, but helps keep the mag button from being pressed, keeps the trigger covered, and doesn't allow the gun to fall down around my socks.
 
I really don't know how you guys can carry without a holster. I've done it only when I go from my car to my house and even then, its uncomfortable and I have to put my weapon in an odd spot on my body.
 
different strokes for folks, whatever works for the individual. I'm fortunate enough to be young and have the right body-shape to carry a SW1911 as my regular. I tried mex once or twice and i kept having to adjust it to keep it from falling into my pants... that and i'd imagine the gun gets more lint in it faster. A holster will protect it from sweat too. Since June of 2010 I've been carrying in a cheap uncle mikes IWB and it's been working for me just great, cant wait to get a crossbreed though!

Crossbreed is the way to go , I use the crossbreed for my SD40 , it conceals very nicely , you only need a "real" belt , in other words , I have my thick duty belt from service ,dont get me wrong its not cumbersome , you just need something that can hold the weight of the gun , gun itself doesnt go into waist band area, only crossbredd holster does, the gun sits nicely above in the area where you shirt has plenty of lleway , that way nobody really notices , I wore a shoulder holster for years , but it becomes hard on the shoulders, this wont bog you down at all!

Another option is the FusionPac made by Tactipac.com. I saw it mentioned on another forum, watched the video and ordered one. I've been wearing it now for almost a week. The FusionPac is very comfortable and does not need a pant belt (a savings of $50-$100 in itself) so you can wear it with your pajama's if you'd like! I have another well known hybrid holster that I haven't wore since getting the FusionPac.
 
Galco Tuck N Go IWB strong side w/ S&W 642 or strong side OWB "pancake" style w/ S&W 66-2, 2-1/2". I stress strong side because I always wear my handgun in the same place, on duty or off. When I reach for it instinctively, it's there. I can wear a polo or a tee with the Galco/642, it hides that well. I wear a cover shirt/jacket w/pancake.
