Loving this gun although it has minor issues, no biggie
Finally got around to bench resting gun today and sights were off a few inches left at 7 yards. My gunsmith a few weeks ago when he shot it noted same and moved front sight left, rear sight right and it shot centered for us. Of course, I didn’t like the offset sights so I recentered them recently and have just adjusted my shooting accordingly.
My gun has been experiencing approximately 1 FTF per 50 rounds. At round count 1000, I had removed lip/edge on lower ramp area. Next session of 200 rounds, I had no FTFs. Yesterday I shot 200 rounds with 4 FTFs, lol. I clean my gun after each session and I’ve been using the same ball ammo. Today I decided to see if it was one of my mags so I shot 100 rounds with 12 cap mag, no issues. Got 50 rounds in with 10 cap mag and had 1 FTF then remaining rounds went fine, lol. S&W recommended I load 3 rounds at a time and tap mag to seat rounds but I’m not doing that practice.
Anyway, I’m pleased with the gun. The mags do swell when filled and won’t drop freely when full, no biggie. I’m chopping at the bit wanting to do aftermarket tweaks.
