Checked the brightness of one of my BG2.0s, and it was invisible except for nearly total darkness.
Since the orange around the vial isn't all that bright as well, I simply put a drop of Testor's white paint over the entire front sight.
In mediocre light, the white stands out far better than the original sight.
My BG now wears a BG1.0 rear sight, and a white dot front. Pretty happy with the result.

Interesting, a good friend of mine put fiber optic sights on his BG1.0, I don't particularly like fiber optic sights. The BG2.0 original front sight was bright enough for me but the XS sights are brighter (at least if I recall correctly). YMMV

I'm thinking about XS sights, having put them on some other things.
My only reservation; traditionally, sights were made a little oversize, and required fitting. Now, XS is making them as a slip fit, and suggesting a squirt of some securing agent to hold the sight. It worked okay on a larger gun, but I have reservations on a small, briskly recoiling pocket gun.

My searching left me needing to ask.

Do the original factory sights on BG 2.0 need to be removed in one direction only?
I believe I read the XS sights have a bevel to install in the correct direction

I recall older, replacement sights that had an arrow to indicate direction. Those sights generally required filing and stoning, but it was an interference fit.
As noted, my recent experience with XS sights is a slip fit. No shade on XS; their CS is excellent, and I like their 'skunk stripe' front sights especially.
The OEM sights on the BG2.0 are a bear to move, the rear worse than the front.

When I bought my Shield Plus a few years ago I didn't realize the front sight was dead until I got home with it. I called customer service and they sent me a new one. If you are OK with the factory sight except for its not being as bright as it should be calling S&W is a zero cost option.

I replaced my bodyguard 2.0 sights with the xs sights. They were not slip in for me. OEM sights are very tight and not so easy removing. I think the xs sights are definitely an upgrade.
