BG 380 Problem

When the last round is fired the slide on my BG 380 the rarely locks open. Is there a easy fix and are anyone else having this problem?

I don't recall ever having the problem. (After saying that I probably will next time out.) However, I posted a link to a Hickok45 youtube video a few days ago and I noticed it happened to him a couple of times although I don't recall him mentioning it.

Based on his video and your problem I'd say someone else has probably had an issue with it.

Is it with "a" mag or all mags? Is your thumb getting in the way? With the mag removed, is the slide lock sticky to raise?

I have had mine for about a year or so - with 5 magazines - maybe a couple hundred rounds through is including brass and aluminum case with both factory and my own reloads - without a single case that I can recall of the slide not staying open after the last round fired.

1st thing to check is your grip - when you fire the gun is your thumb on the slide lock?
2nd thing to check is the magazines - especially if you have had them apart - make sure the follower is not binding - you can function check that the slide locks open on an empty mag pretty easily.
3rd thing to check - your ammo - if it is underpowered it may be cycling the slide enough to pick up the next round but not enough to lock open - although I would expect that more with longer cartridges.
4th think to check may be limp wristing - which generally is the cause of failures to eject - though the BG380 is pretty snappy and I don't think I have had any - even saw a brand new shooter with a BG380 not get any limp-wrist failures - despite having several when I let her try my SR22 (which I didn't even think could have a stovepipe caused by limp-wristing and unless she was doing something entirely unknown to me because 5 other people have shot my SR22 without ever having the problem she had on every other round).

I've had it happened frequently with one particular magazine - the one that came with the gun! Mine is a M&P 380. I also have the BG380 and it never happens. Odd. I save the offending magazine for practice.

Belive I have found the problem. The red follower in the mag has a notch in it on thr left side, which when fully up and empty it contacts the internal slide lock pushing it up. The outer shell of the mag is spread apart and the red follower is allowed to move to right missing the internal slide lock lever. I just squeezed the sides in a small amount and took up the free play. Going to the range tommorow to find out it this helped.
