At least one county sheriff says he won't enforce that:

I'm pretty sure Oregonians have the meddling of Michael Bloomberg and his Everytown group to thank for this. The 13th wealthiest person in the world has a problem with guns and he's coming to your state to solve it. Beware and be vigilant.

A year ago I would have said you were wrong, but I've changed my mind. Mostly, gun owners don't see anything wrong with a UBC but if one looks at the whole enchilada it's a bad deal. It's back door registration pure and simple.

OR will probably get a UBC just like we did. There are some legislators there that took some of Bloomburg's money and recall petitions have already started.

OR like WA, has some very large rural counties. Some of those counties don't have the LE revenue that the more populated counties do. They don't have the resources to enforce a UBC, so the sheriffs won't even try. They have said that in WA and now they're saying it in OR.

I live in a rural county. Our property taxes are the lowest in the state. I don't want my taxes going up for a lot of things and a UBC is one of them. If I wanted high property taxes I would live in Seattle. Until the counties figure out how to enforce these unfunded mandates I'm pretty sure it isn't going to happen.

All I can say to those who vote for these initiatives or legislators is get ready for higher property taxes and tax levies. The state may pass the legislation but they aren't going to pay for it.
