I'm kinda tardy to the party, but I have some Bianchi's. Here are five of
my favorites, left to right:
One of Bianchi's earliest was his #1 Lawman. Shown with SAA replica.
The "Lightnin" is great for concealed hammers like this 642-1.
The very popular cop holster Model 27 with my model 19.
The 2800 "Judge" with my Model 67 Combat Masterpiece.
The Model 12 with my Beretta M9
Beautiful "old time" quality posted by all, great post. I always learn something every time I log on, and gun leather is one area that I keep right on learning. The problem is when I see leather that really appeals to me, I have to look quick to see if I have a gun that would work, and if not (usually the case)...then the hunt begins again...and again...and again.
Question for CrazyPhil in quoted post your number 3 from left is a Bianchi Model 27 which looks great as a cop rig. On the holster itself is a snap, yet no retention strap, or flap so what is that snap for? Some snap on accessory?
Another "gun leather" question for you leather experts: I have a Buckheimer Perfect Fit #21, but have not found what gun it may have been the "perfect fit" for. The holster is pushing 14" long so a long tom of some sort, but nothing I have (or had) comes close to fitting (14-3 w/8-3/8 bbl; Colt Peacemaker, K 22 Masterpiece) just nothing fits, either way too tight, or totally loose. I believe this holster dates to about 1968 as I got it with a 14-3 package with long tube and ammo and stuff that had really not been shot so I think the holster was sold to the guy along with everything else but never broke in or used.
Anyway....if any of you have an old Buckheimer catalog cut and can tell for sure what this Perfect Fit # 21 would pair up with gun wise, it will make it easier for me to sell OR find the appropriate gun to go with it. It does have an unused tie down but I'm not Bat Masterson (or Lee Van Cleef either) so I can't do fast draw with long barreled wheel guns.
