Bianchi and Safariland Holsters et al

Phil;

Thanks for the reply. I do like that whole rig.

Regarding my bucoo long Buckheimer I've only got one Ruger Single Six and it has a 4-5/8" barrel, so maybe if I insert a 5" long piece of 1/2" copper tubing (suitably protected on both ends with a pipe cap) first in the holster then my Single Six.....I'll have a useable rig?...……………...NAW...……….just start a new hunt I guess.

Maybe you could look into putting a 9.5" barrel on your Single
Six. Ruger would probably sell you one and it would be a
fairly easy job for your local smith.

In the 1970's and 1980's these two companies were my favorites for holsters. As a police officer and gun shop employee some of these got a lot of use as I considered going armed when ever I was out and about an obligation. The Safariland # 7 held my duty S&W 39-2 for several years.

Question for R.E.D. Nichols. Do you know when Bianchi started stamping holsters with the 7 point star BIANCHI INTERNATIONAL stamp? It would be an interesting approximate date to know. I have many holsters without it but a number of my later made holsters have the stamped emblem. The emblem can be seen on some of the Bianchi holsters in this thread and not on others.

New Model 29 Safariland Holster

This thread got me inspired so I searched on eBay and found a new in bag Model 29 lined holster for a 4" Ruger Security Six. I ordered it and my Model 19 fits in it perfectly. I'm a happy camper at $45.

There's another Safariland Model 29 lined holster for a Ruger like the one I got above which will fit a K frame 4" on eBay now.

There was also another for a 6.5" N Frame but it's gone now.

Here is a very old ad for Bianchi's Combat Action Protector Brand like
turnerriver showed us in post #10. Unfortunately I didn't keep the date
of the ad, but if you could get a catalog for two bits it must have been a
long time ago.
