No doubt there will be something coming soon, but until we see a proposal made it remains speculation.

Promises made to appease the masses, then when it doesn't happen, he can just say the NRA and Republicans who don't care about gun control are to blame. And his followers will blindly support him.
My sister in law is violently anti-gun. Ignorant about all things gun related, of course. Never took the time to educate herself. She's a big believer that the 1994 AWB worked and we need it back. I show her pictures of my Colt Match Target Sporter that I bought in 1999, designed without a bayonet lug and flash hider to comply with the ban. Doesn't change her mind.
She lives right near Newtown and always says how great the Connecticut AWB still is. When I pointed out that the weapon Lanza used was legal under the federal ban, and legally purchased in CT under the existing ban, her head looks like it is going to explode.
Something is coming, for sure. A token piece of legislation that will do nothing but earn some applause from the followers. I do not believe it will be very far reaching. 80 million new gun owners in this country since last March.
But I'm tired of worrying about it. What will be, will be.

We all knew this was on his agenda.
