Hey folks,
This is my SW1911PD commander. It is about 2 years of age and I have added Meprolight night sights from Top Gun Supply and a set of Crinson Trace Laser Grips.
This is a very accurate gun and I use it for the Tuesday night area Bowling pin shoot.
Lets see your 1911's

This is my 1911. Somewhere around two years old with about 700 rounds down range. Lots of fun to shoot and allot more accurate than I could ever be. Very satisfied when purchased so additions are few- grips, adjustable rear sight, and a few polished items.

Lorin,
I really like a ss gun when it comes to shootin but the blued gun just can't be beat when it comes to looks. Very nice 1911.

Here's my 1911 DK. This is my favorite shooter. About a year old with 1500 rounds fired + or -.

Here's my 2-year old SW1911 108284, Target configuration. Shot great out of the box. I haven't done anything to it but shoot and clean.

Here's my S&W 1911. It's a tack driver with no recoil whatsoever. Plus the price was right. :)

1911PD, 4.25" barrel and scandium frame. Great shooter, maybe the best all purpose 1911. This is one if you can have only one.

One and only 1911

Here is my one and only 1911. I've owned Colts, Kimbers, Springfields. This one beats them all by a country mile.

1911 PD

BigDog I do love my 1911PD too. That was why I have been a sad puppy for the last month. While at the range late one afternoon just before sunset I was trying to get a couple of more mags thru the 1911PD,

I put the last mag in and noticed the safety all but fell out, so I thought, THIS IS NOT GOOD. But I could tell at the time that the sideplate came off. Very Strange. I called Smith told them about it, they sent a call tag and said it would probably be about a month and so it was.

Got it back two days ago, it looks great and hopefully will head to the range tomorrow. I have several 1911's and this is the first time I've ever seen one of these come off.

Was this a fluke of nature or what?

I really love this weapon....
