My Bll Davis PPC 65-2 has A-1 stamped on the frame and a few others places on the gun, anyone know who he is/was Thanks......

Bill was a pistol smith for many years, he specialized in PPC guns. He was well known for the Smolt, a Python barreled Model 27/28 S&W. He was a former officer and was considered the gold standard for PPC match guns. He passed away in 2016.

I have a couple that have the smith's initials on the frame. CM for Craig Maraviov. He still has a shop in Woodland CA.
