Anybody familiar with Alabama Gun Collectors Birmingham Gun Show that will be next weekend. I've never been to one of these shows and was wondering what some of you might think of this show. Thanks in advance for your thoughts as it will be a long drive for me and I cant decide if I'm going.

Hey Perry, I go to all of them. The March show is usually the biggest of the year. There will be a lot of tables and some real nice military gun and vehicle exhibits.
Saturday will probably get crowded early and stay that way.
Looking for anything in particular?

Perryhd, I've never been to an Al show but shows usually have a focus, the billing ads or on line should say military or collectors or similar. These are collectors of all or specific types, again the key is collector.

Most that say gun show are a little of all kinds of guns.

I looked up the Birmingham show for next weekend, it says collectors and no non gun items allowed. Bring your own jerky.

If you look you can probably find some jerky and other non gun related items but the AGC show is not like the others that's about half flea market.
It's not Tulsa but it's about as good as you're going to get in Alabama.

The March show usually has around 800 tables. In my opinion, the better of the three AGCA shows they do during the year. Probably only missed a couple of these shows in the past 25 years. Sometimes vendors as far as Texas show up. It is nice to look at all the high dollar guns from Gulf Breeze near the back, especially if you love fancy walnut and engraving. Saturday, around 11-1, it will be difficult to walk due to number of people. We have started waiting until Sunday and get there at opening and you can access all the tables around 9-10-11 AM on Sunday Morning. If you are looking to purchase something, you may find it. I think it is a great show for the size and this part of the world. I have added to my safe over the years from items found. there will be several vendors with reloading supplies and I usually add to the powder stash at this show.

I believe you have to be a member to get in before 10:00 on Sunday.
I will say if anyone is not a member you should join. Once you join you do not have to pay to get in for that year and you can go in early Saturday and Sunday.

I'm mainly looking for prewar S&W revolvers but my experience is that there might be something I don't know I need until I see it. I want to go but it's a five hour round trip and I'm not sure I'm up to that. I'll see how things go later in the week.
