How many of you have birth year guns? I'm looking at a Pre-14 made in October of 1957. My month and year of birth. I have looked for quite some time before finding one. What about you?

Yep, still looking for my Jan. 60 revolver to show up. Not real particular about the model or barrel length, just has to be .38 or .357.
I’ll know the right one when I find it.

Model 14-1

Mines a Model 14-1 K-38 Target Masterpiece from 1961. I don’t know how close it is to my birthday, Dec. 31, but the s/n puts it solidly in ‘61 and I think all 14-1’s are in ‘61. Now I’m curious to find out.

I have three birth year guns, all purchased with no idea of the manufacturing or shipping dates so it was just blind luck. I have a Browning P35 that was proofed in the same trimester that I was born, an S&W pre-Model 14 K38 Masterpiece that shipped 2 days before I was born and an S&W pre-Model 34 Kit Gun that shipped the month before I was born.

OCD: Old Chiefs Disease

Okay, I'll admit to being a bit OCD.

I'm still in search of a Baby Chiefs that shipped in my birth month.

I think the factory's shipping department must have taken June off in 1952, but I've been lucky enough to find others from that year.
