Birthday surprise, Model 10 "10-7" unfired***Update closer look it’s been fired
My brother surprised me with a Model 10-7 for my birthday.
It's a pinned pencil barrel 3D578XX.
It looks new. As we were looking at it, I believe that joker is customer unfired. You can just barely pick out a slight ring on the front of the cylinder, every other cylinder if you hold it in the light right.
No wear, no scratches, nothing.

Here it is with my 1923 Model of 1905 4th change 32-20.

I prefer the feel of the grips of 1923 better than the 10-7 grips so I have set of Pre-War service stocks on the way. I did swap grips to see how the 10-7 would look and feel with pre-war grips.
Spectacular!
I'll post a photo when I replace the grips.
I am so blessed. I'm not fussing but in way I kind of wish that 10-7 was more of a beater. I just want to go and shoot the fire out of it. Shoot it, learn it, really use it like it was meant to be. But then again, it's nearly 50 years old and apparently has never been fired.
While I'm showing my Smiths, I might as well show all my double actions.

Now I love my Smiths but those "D" frame Colts, especially the 1923 PPS...just fit. They fit me better than, well anything. They feel better to me than a 1911, '51 Navy and Model P. There's just something about the size and feel of a D frame Colt that I like. They come in right between a J and K frame Smith. The little Colts have a natural feel whereas the Smiths seem more mechanical but not in a bad way.
Don't get me wrong my Smiths are special. The D frames are...well, closer to beaters.
I hope you have enjoyed looking at these. Any thoughts and comments are appreciated.
