I went to the LGS and a 40 Shield came home with me. It can now join the 45fs & 9c. I guess that would be Papa Bear, Mama Bear & Baby Bear. Watch out for that innocent looking little one it bites.
I went outside and fired it and the magazine stayed in place but the white dot on the front sight didn't. Now how do I find that little white dot? It's sort of like hunting a needle in a haystack.
So I called S&W customer service and told them about the dot coming off of my front sight. I was told I'll have one in the mail for you today. You can't ask for better customer service than that unless he had told me I'll have one in the mail for you yesterday.
Actually later in the day I took care of the problem permanently. I ordered a set of XS Big Dot sights for it. I don't believe the tritium vial will jump out of that front sight.
Good for you on the Shield 40. I find mine very manageable and accurate rapid fire is possible. Getting back on target is a matter of technique. It is my regular comfortable pocket carry.
The white dots seem to be paint, so I'm scratching my old head about the glue thing. Probably just some kind of Arkansas joke. They changed the abbreviation for Arkansas from AR to AH in honor of the Clintons.
