Black 5" 2.0 9mm availabilty

New guy here. Has anyone heard if or when a black 5" 2.0 9mm will be released? I would love to get one if they do become available.

Black editions have been available since day one. I just did a quick Google search for one and many retailers came up. However, they only come w/safety.

True but only in 45ACP 4.6" barrel according to S&W website
5" is apparently in FDE only. 9/40

There are other sellers and reports out there that indicate the model you want is available now. It took me a couple of minutes using Google to come up with these and other references.

My shop has them all in, at least one of each caliber in each color and barrel size. All are running $469.

I don't like to argue but I will debate this issue. S&W's site shows 5" in FDE only with 9mm and .40 only.
4.6" in black .45 ACP only
4.25" in black 9mm and 40 only
Now you can tell yourself it's out there but I verified it.

All you have to do is click and read each models specs

Actually if you scroll down it DOES NOT show a 5" Black model only FDE in 9mm and .40

I know the feeling but S&W contacted me on FB and said there's no date in the near future for the black 5" but will most likely release one in the future.

They did not promise anything.

We need to remember that the 2.0 was made to compete against others in the military contract bid that Sig won.

At least you got more out of them that I did. I contacted them through email on their site and basically told me to watch their site for updates. I may just get the 4.25" model and if they release the black 5" model, get on then.

5" FDE is all I could find in the real world. Best price was $419 at GAG.

If you just have to have a 5" 9mm in black get a 1.0 9Pro. they shoot a lot better than the standard 1.0 and can you probably find one at a competative price. I have one and shoot it a lot. Nice trigger and no problems at all.
