Black Friday at Xtreme Bullets

These guys leave a bad taste often and they find more inventive ways to do it endlessly. My gripe today is their absolute push of the term "site wide."

How would anyone define "site wide" ?
They have a clearance page and none of that gets the 20% discount applied.

Anyone who wants to label my post as whining, have at it. I have thick skin. Much like Xtreme, who never responds to complaints, like water off a duck's back.

My only revenge is that I used to review their product often and with all vigor the product deserves. I don't anymore.

I just remembered Lyman has some LDEWC recipes. I guess I can start with higher loadings and work up until I see signs of overpressure. I'm not trying to max out my DEWC practice loads, I just want to keep them hot so I don't get a bullet stuck.

Can you use HBWC recipes with DEWC? It seems like the solid base would reduce volume inside the cartridge and raise pressures. I guess I could definitely use mid-strength HBWC loads as a starting point in any case.

I've also considered just seating the DEWCs like a SWC and running the same powder charges I've been using with plated 158gr SWC.

I use Xtreme and Berry's 148gr with 3.0gr Bullseye with no problems. Have also used both brands of 158gr THP with 3.0gr Bullseye with no problems as well. Berry's are slightly more accurate at least in those configurations.

With new ammo costs dropping, eg. Rem UMC 115 9mm for about $0.12 /round, bullet manufacturers need to do a lot better to justify my business.

My order of 2000 38cal 148gr DEW placed on Black Friday is being shipped.

I certainly didn't expect such fast shipping since my order last year on the Black Friday deal took 1 month to ship.

x-treme

this past sunday I bought 1500 .38s, 500 9mm, a tshirt and some decals for my gun locker.

I was wondering about turn around time. it is Wednesday, and their website still says 'processing'. not really desperate, but curious on when I can expect some activity.

FWIW my order is supposed to arrive today.
If it does that will be a way faster turn around than last year.

Historically when they have a sale especially the 20% off sale it takes a while to ship, I have experienced up to two weeks if you order toward the end of the sale after numerous customers beat you to the punch.

They have not really ever been known for fast shipping.....I called them several years ago when I first ordered from them they told me then they only had two people in shipping and they get orders out as fast as they can. Some things don't change

It seems a lot of us posting here ordered the same bullets from X-Treme,the 38cal plated DEWC.

Much better service from X-Treme than in the past when orders took a long time to arrive, arrived in a broken box or had 2 different calibers mixed together.Oh yes, also a snippy lady in customer service answering my complaints.

I swore to myself I would not be ordering from them.

I am a bit disenchanted with x-treme. it has been ten days, and the website still says, 'processing'. I made sure that everything was in stock before I ordered 'em. I was really hoping to have them for this coming weekend.

I got my order delivered last Tuesday,4 days after ordering right after I got the 20% off/free shipping email.

I've already loaded 300 of the 148gr DEWC over 3.5gr of Titegroup in 357mag Federal cases to 1.365" OAL.I placed a light crimp in the canular.

I bought a bunch of stuff during their 20% off + free shipping deal. My shipment from Xtreme came within about 10 days of ordering. Not too bad.

My UPS guy was not very happy when he walked up to my door with a significant amount of lead.

Huh...The UPS trucks out here usually have a wheeled cart on them for heavy delivery. They have to be able to carry 70 pounds to I think. I frequently get heavy deliveries of ammo etc here and they use the carts. If any UPS guys here...I'm just busting your chops!! Going to have to keep an eye on these sales sure is easier to receive a shipment than go to a store and get it.. I have a delivery coming today from Midway but not real heavy. (AR upper etc and ammo) from a Cyber Monday sale

sixteen days, and their website still says, processing. not all that impressed with the service.

about three years ago, I ordered extra batteries for my quadcopter. that took twelve days, and they came all the way from china.

I kinda regret buying the t-shirt. I hate to endorse someone that has this bad of service.

I really do not understand why people get bent out of shape when they order something and it does not arrive in a few "days"??

No matter what company, when they have a big sale they have lots of shipments to make, especially this time of year.

Perhaps order stuff before you actually need it the next day.:confused:

With all the threads about Xtreme Bullets being the next best thing to sliced bread, whats so special about them?

There are many, many other places to order bullets.
