I had a bunch of American Rifleman mags from the 50s and 60s that got waterlogged when a water pipe let go at my home. I had to throw them out.
I liked the ads from the mail order merchants like Klein's.
Man, that 1950 Army .45 acp for only 70 bucks seems like quite a bargain back then being only about 15% more than a $60 Chiefs Special. I wish S&W would cut a deal like that now.
The George Lawrence Co. was a S&W distributor.

I did a lot of shooting in my teens without hearing protection. Thankfully most was with .22s and when I started shooting center-fire pistols and rifles I started wearing muffs.
