On Midway USA's site they list CCI .22LR Blazer being 1,070 fps. Today I was at a Big Five and looked at a box of 22LR Blazer and the printed velocity of 1235 fps.

As long as I can remember Blazer has always been a high speed load running at just over 1200 fps. I'd say Midway has listed it wrong.

I've been using Blazers exclusively in my P22 and Mosquito. In about 2000 rounds thru each pistol I haven't had more than 4-5 problems (all were ftf). When I first got the P22 I used Remington Golden Bullets and couldn't run a full magazine thru it without a problem. I'll stick with the Blazer.

My mistake--it was in Midway's master catalog #33, page 6:
"40gr Blazer Lead RN,per 50....1070 fps..."
It must have been a typo.

I resove these "quandries" by shooing 10 rounds over the chronograph out of my gun in question with the ammo in question.

You aren't going to get published rifle velocities out of a handgun. Many times you aren't going to get velocities that match any published data.
