Thanks - Great Video. Heading to Belgium in a couple of weeks to visit Battle of the Bulge sites after a river cruise on the Rhine . Hope to get over to the Luxembourg military cemetery and visit Patton's grave.

Every time I've been to the Patton Museum, my favorite part is the area with his personal items, the guns, his staff car and mobile field HQ. I've always wondered what happened to his Remington ..32 auto that he always carried on his person and his General Officer's issue Colt 1903 or 1908

From what I've read regarding his concept of tank warfare, he was outdated during the European campaign. I cite just the longtime continuation of the 75 mm gun on the Shermans.

The man conducting the Shooting USA program was Jim Scoutten. I think he does a very good job. His son, whose first name I don't remember was also on there from time to time, talking about his speciality which again I don't rememeber.

The Sherman was aparently designed by auto engineers. It's a fine vehicle, just not a very good fighting machine. Gun's too weak, armor's too thin and it sticks up too far in the air. The aero engined versions also used 100 octane gasoline, whence the nicknames "Ronsons" or "Tommy Cookers".

I think his Remington Model 51 was a .380, not a .32.
