just got a MOE with blue spring's, #DUAxxxx. soaked the lower with cpl, and let it set for a couple of hour's. i noticed some of the blue color was gone and turned back to silver? does this happen or do you think the spring's where just silver from the beginning?
fired 250 rds ok with one OOB, another 250 after that and no problems.

I would guess that the springs are silver to begin with and are just painted. Shouldnt be a concern that the paint disolved off with the cleaning solvent.

My blue came off with the initial cleaning. He!!, the color on the outside of my barrel faded drastically when I hit it with Gun Scrubber. Without the shroud on, it looks like I have a custom barrel now...SC

Gun scrubber removes EVERYTHING. Happened to me too w/ another rifle. I rubbed it pretty good w/ some gunslick lube and it brought it back to life. If not there's a higher risk of rust.

I'm getting ready to test fire the JP yellow springs. When I removed the M&P15-22 springs I noted the disconnector spring was blue, the others are unmarked in both the upper and lower.

I too noticed it was blue. There's a tiny hole, can't remember which side of the reciever, that you can see the blue spring through.

Good luck on the kit. I love mine.

No hole in the receiver I can find.

The JP yellow spring set worked perfectly this afternoon. A full box of Winchester "333" down range with perfect ignition. Brisk ejection as well.

The JP yellow springs may have reduced my trigger pull a pound from the "15 Minute AR15 trigger job" that cuts one leg of the hammer spring and bends the legs of the trigger spring. May have. I'm leaving the JP set in the rifle though.
