Please, no "home bluing never works " comments. Considering Blue Wonder for the I frame I posted about. Has anyone used it? If so, how durable is it, and do you have pictures?

I have never heard of this one, however the best results I have ever achieved from a Cold Blue were from Birchwood Casey Perma-Blu paste and Brownells Oxpho paste. They look OK but find that they are not permanent. I have tried heating and all the other tricks you hear about but unless the area is not handled much, re-applications are not far off. I also find it depends a lot on the steel the gun manufacturer used. Some guns take the cold blue better than others.

If you do try the Blue Wonder please let us know how it stands up to constant handling. I am always interested in better working products.

Well you got me curious so I went on line and watched a few of the Blue Wonder promo videos - it does look promising. Let us know - I could always use a GOOD Cold Blue that actually lasts :)

I have not used their blueing products, but I have used their Blue Wonder Gun Cleaner, Armadillo protectant, and their Disotec XFR lube. If their gun blue stuff is as good as the Gun Cleaner, then it will be excellent stuff. If it is as good as the Disotec XFR, then it will suck at it's job.
