Has anybody tried the Bluebook of Gun Values on the CD? Will it let you load the entire CD onto the hard drive? I guess that I really want an E-book but they don't have one yet.

haven't tried it yet.
i like the real paper ones :)

Thanks for the info. I will get a CD and write it on the hard drive. Then I will try to snooker it onto the Ipad. That's where I really want it. Will report progress or not down stream.
After all 'We got the good times here but it's better on down the road.'

I have not bothered to buy the Blue Book because I have been able to come up with my own value based on a few things..........

LGS prices, G/B and other on-line prices, and what they have actually sold for in a specific geographic area of the Country. Yes, the same gun will command different prices in different areas. This has always worked for me.

Of course the ultimate factor is: how much do I really want that gun! To me paying a small premium for a hard to find coveted gun is worth it - but that's just me.

BB CD has arrived. Loaded it on desktop and laptop. Works just like some of you nice folks told me it would. It does need a better search function.
Used DROPBOX and sent it to IPAD. It's loaded but ugly! It's all there but no search function you just pick a section and open it. When you do get a section open that you want to read, just scroll on down and read away. IPAD is one of the better readers.
If any real BB folks read this, you need a better search interface everywhere and a E-book version for all those millions of readers everybody has now.
Hey- when I am at a Gun Show in Dog Ball, NM and need to read up on a gun, I need my BB and I need it now! Now a days the printed BB is getting so heavy you need a wheelbarrow to haul it around.

I subscribe to the online version and love it b/c you can search it fairly well. May not work if you don't have wifi but if you're on an ipad that would seem to me to be the way to go b/c you'll most likely have data access. I've used it on my iphone fine though of course the screen is tiny.

It also is supposed to get updated as they update values as opposed to waiting for the next cd or book.
