Give me a S&W 581 4" round butt in 44sp and I'll stop whining...and I'd buy 2 of them and some nice leather.

I'm thinking 3" with the underlug machined back ala the Md. 65 Lady Smith.

Balldboy, that sounds like a beautiful combination. I like the look of the shorter barrel that still has a bit of prominence over the underlug. Sounds like a winner to me.
