Guys, it drives me nuts when the locking block coil pin on my M&P9 gets the finish taken off. Anyone know if these are just blued or Melonite like the slide? Also, if I use some liquid blue will it wipe off or stain the polymer frame? Thanks...

Not treated with the Melonite process.
Why would it bother you if the finish is rubbed off the coil pin? That means it's tight enough when forced through the holes in the steel sub-chassis to remain in place under recoil. They should be tight.
You're not removing that coil pin a lot are you?
In a way, that's sort of like complaining the bottoms of your shoes get scuffed when walking on them.
Remember the left end of the locking block coil pin is supposed to stick out from the frame far enough to act as a stop for the takedown lever (meaning about as far as the forward part of the frame at that spot).

Don't worry about the finish. It will rub off under normal use (installation/removal/re-installation). That's the nature of coil pins, roll pins, etc.
The trigger pin will develop wear marks and have the finish rub off it during normal use, too (parts moving on it).
The rear coil pin will also have its finish rubbed on each end because of the thumb safety assembly rubbing on it, FWIW.
