My wife, daughter, and I were driving out to our "country place" after school yesterday. We saw the Sheriff, a couple of deputies, and several other obvious LEO cars parked at a place where several trash receptacles are located. We continued on to the farm, where I let my girls out, and I drove the one-half mile back to the dumpsters. I asked the Sheriff (I coached him on the baseball team in high school) if there was something I needed to know, if there was a vicious criminal on the loose or something.
He told me that someone had disposed of the body of a young black male, probably about 25 or so, dressed only in a woman's pink thong, with toenails and fingernails polished, in one of the dumpsters. He said it was not a local person, and so far, no surrounding agencies had been able to ID the body. He said it appeared the victim's neck had been broken.
His guess is that someone coming through disposed of the body some time between three am and ten am Wednesday morning. A local discovered the body about noon. I would guess the person came from Macon, Ga, about 40 miles West of the farm.
We seldom use that particular dumpster, but we use one on a dirt road near the farm. I doubt I'll be able to get my girls to take the golf cart to the dumpster any more.
