Body Guard With No Thumb Safety

If you can buy a Shield without a thumb safety why not a Body Guard?

I am thinking about a 380 for Pocket conceal and the only reason I am looking at a Ruger LCP or Taurus over the Body Guard is because they don't have a thumb safety.

From what I have read the trigger on the BG is plenty heavy to for go a thumb safety.

Maybe they'll come out with it in the future, but they just had their "major" changes for that pistol... first with the m&p version, then the crimson trace. I think their eggs are in a different basket at this point.

On a side note, in my opinion, you just can't go wrong with the LCP. Smaller overall package than the BG, and if you get a newer one, it'll have the better sights and trigger. I've done my share of research on these 380's, and I think the LCP is the ticket

The thumb safety on the BG is extremely easy to ignore. It doesn't protrude at all and I've never used it, thought about it, or even fiddled with it much.
IMO its a complete non-issue.

Why can't we have revolvers either with or without the internal lock, like with the M&P?

I agree that the new M&P Bodyguard .380 should be available without a thumb safety.

Just when I am relaxed in bed my wife reminds me to check the locks on the doors.

I bet more than once a day you check the safety on your Shield. What a waste of brain power.

I want a ccw that I can point and pull trigger. Throw a lock into the mix and you will be second guessing if it is locked or unlocked just like your front door at midnight.
