Bodyguard .380

called yesterday, delayed til June. Couldn't pin him down on whether beginning, middle or end.

Bodygyard .380

Just recently shot a Walther PPK 380 (james bond) ............ my next potential CCW would be I noticed the Body Gaurd series ads. Very interesting! Cant wait to see them pop up for sale! I might have to consider one
I purchased a "really sweet" Sig P232 SS .380 a couple months ago, very reminiscent of my Walther PP .380 in profile, with a larger/deeper (east to west) grip frame, which feels much better in the hand. It's a quality built pistol, and would make a great back-up piece or CCW. See it on Sig web site or at: budsgunshop.com or riverviewsales.net. If anyone out their owns one or is familiar with the P232, give us your feedback.

Due to ship the end of June. I've had one on order since March. Will fit in with my P3AT, Walther PPK, and Taurus PT738. I have a ton of .380 ammo.

Nas T Mag - I think you're gonna dig it! The Sig P 232 feels nice, looks nice, and with lots of .380 ammo, you're in! Let us know what you think after you put a few (or several) rounds thru it.
We are talking about the same .380 aren't we?

IF you are interested in pre-ordering a 380, we are taking pre-orders. We, Express Police Supply, are selling them under $400
Express Police Supply, Bodyguard 380 Pistol

I'm not exactly sure how you are doing that (as I know what the dealer price is) - as far as I know there's only one version of this pistol with the laser, correct?

Based upon what is going on with a similar designed .380 (the Diamond Crap, I mean Back) I would not jump into this with any kind of enthusiasm-

I don't think you can compare the manufacturing, design, and years of experience in the gun industry of S&W versus Diamondback....what do they make, like one gun??

I'm NOT COMPARING ANYTHING - I'm making a statement about new designs. What difference does it make how long the company has been in business. Look at the Ruger LCP when it first came out

Shadow SD, I bought a stainless Sig P232 new a few years back
and love it; haven't had any problems at all. The only downside I
can think of: mine has the Siglite nightsights, and when the tritium
in the front sight finally dies, that's it; no way to replace it (according
to the folks at Sig Sauer). No problem, I'll just put a dot of paint over
it, I reckon. Still a very sweet gun.

I've seen water pistols that look better than that. Ruger's LCP impresses me more.

The .380 will kill. It just doesn't have the power of a heavier round. Not as much leeway, especially on heavily dressed or obese people.

Massad Ayoob tried .380's in the slaughterhouse, on pigs. The snub .38 revolver with the lead HP load fared far better.

I have a Colt's Mustang in .380 that I carried for quite some time.

One day an incident with a large dog attacking my dog made me question if the .380 had the power I needed for serious work.

I decided "NO", and stepped up to a S&W 640 in .357. I'm no longer worried if a Rottweiler is in the area.

The Sig and the Mustang are both cute, well made guns. I found mine very accurate and reliable. I'm sure the Bodyguard will be a nice toy too.

I still alternate between a 640, a 442, and a Kahr PM 9 though when I want to be sure I can deal with a crisis.

Lucky! I can't find the stuff anywhere! The guy at Wally World laughed at me when I asked. Midway has nothing.

TDS (tds-us.com) has WWB for $20.50, which isn't as marked up as many other places. They also have the 100rd value pack for $39. TDS is my go-to guys when supplies get scarce elsewhere.

Ammo-to-go has lesser brands for under $20 also.

Why is it that gun manufacturers have such a hard time coming up with a release date and sticking with it? It's not like making and releasing a gun is anything new. It's frustating to sell a gun thinking that you will be able to replace it in a timely manner, and then the one you want to buy is endlessly delayed with no update from S&W, Ruger or whoever. It's very frustrating.

If your going to shoot +350 pounders better stick to the manstoppers 10mm .45+P or .357mag... having to penetrate all the blubber will be a tough assignment for a .380 or 9mm

Hmmm...I think S&W was doin just fine not building a 380. Guess everybody's got to jump on the bandwagon.

Yeah especially when it looks like a child's water-pistol -

What's the best Hollow Point bullet for the Body Guard?

The date of the post can be found on the top left of the post itself. :p

I have Gold Dots in my BG380. Mine just sits in my truck because it fits in a little dash cubby perfectly.

Since I bought the BG380, I have bought a 642 and I believe the 642 is a superior pocket gun, that's why the BG380 just sits now.
