Bodyguard Misfires

I am having light firing pin strike misfires with both of my Bodyguard 1.0 pistols.
Does anyone make a replacement firing pin that is a little longer?
BTW, the guns are very clean.
Have a pair of BG1.0s, bought just before the 2.0 arrived. Mine have been stone reliable; can deal with the double action only trigger, but the ergos of the grip aren't as good as the newer guns.
Now, as far as your problem:
-does the firing pin move freely, with no gritty feel when moved by hand?
-does the firing pin safety move freely?
-depress the firing pin safety, and push the firing pin forward manually...does it protrude what seems a reasonable distance?
-what kind of ammunition are using? is it factory, remanufactured, or handloads?
-does the slide go fully into battery? do the rounds plonk smoothly?
Tell us more.

Back when I worked at a range, more than one person with a BG 1.0 reported light primer strikes, especially with foreign ammunition.

Have not done the firing pin/depress safety/push forward test yet. Will do tomorrow.
Have used 4 kinds of factory ammo. Still have problems.
Slide goes all the way into battery.
Ammo feeds fine.
About half the time misfire round will fire on the second strike.

I really think the firing pin protrusion is about 10 to 15 thousandths too short.

I have both generations of Bodyguards. Each model has it's attributes.
Overall, I think the 2.0 is the best; but I really like the slight thinness advantage of the 1.0.

The original BG1.0 is about as safe as a pocket gun can be, between the very deliberate, true DAO trigger, and the firing pin block. If it fit my hand as well as the BG2.0 (that thing is an ergonomic masterpiece), I'd like it better.
Let me know what you find out; it appears the 1.0 is out of production, but Smith should still support it. It does seem odd that both your guns display the problem.
Keep us posted.
