As I said, in addition to the maker's mark, nothing about that holster says 'Heiser' to me. I'm far from an expert, but I've had my hands on enough Heisers to feel qualified to say that.... the maker's mark looks suspect.
My expertise is limited though.
My question is why would someone fake a Heiser holster? It’s not some big money item. There’s no huge demand for them. As a counterfeiter it would appear the juice is not worth the squeeze.
Like I said, not a lot of money. Seems like a waste of time. Sooner or later you get caught and thrown off eBaySomeone stamps a fake maker's mark onto some worthless old $15 holster and it becomes a $250 holster.
List it on eBay.
Repeat as necessary.
Thanks John. I was hoping you or Red would weigh in. As I said previously, there's really not much about this holster that convinces me it's a genuine Heiser. And I have a hard time thinking it's from the 30s or 40s. But, it also wouldn't be the first time my gut instinct was wrong.... If I saw it at a show marked $50 I'd probably buy it but I'm not at all sure it is a Heiser, Red doesn't think it is...
