I wish my cable had Blaze, I'm going to be living within about 10 miles of the border in a few years. Would really like to see this.

What channel is Blaze TV? ive never heard of it?

I have cable and have never heard of Blaze TV. Can you enlighten me also?

Blaze TV is a network. When you have the 100 channel package and find there is nothing worth watching and get the 300 channel package you might get Blaze TV.

My mother's side of the family is from Cotulla, but they've all moved away. I used to spend a lot of time hunting dove in Mercedes, but that friend moved on. The last time I was in Cotulla was three years ago for graveside services for an uncle who passed away here in Houston. There was a luncheon for the locals that remembered our family and I found their stories about life 75 miles from the border at the start of the Eagle Ford fracking boom fascinating. Just what is the border area like now-a-days?

Well, I just went to record it and it ain't in the program guide. Dish sometimes has problems with the guide so I'm not too surprised. If you have Dish, it's channel 212 (non-HD) on my sat box.

I did catch Glenn talking about the show and it should be on next...

It looks like BlazeTV is what used to be the Glen Beck TV network.

I'd like to see it but since I never bothered to look at GBTV, I can't get Blaze without joining.

What's it like? A lot different than when we were kids. The line is stretched a lot thinner, the holes are a lot bigger and the outlaws are a lot badder.

Are the issues drugs, illegal alien smuggling, general lawlessness, or all of the above? It's not a cake walk in Houston, but my memories and experiences in South Texas are generally good.

Watched the show. Was hoping for something new, not just the same old rehash.

I was disappointed. SOS, different day.

Yep, nothin I'd like better than to see some change, but the only change is it get gets worse. Hopefully a few people up north that saw it for the first time get the picture. A lot of people I speak to from up north have never heard anything much at all, except the "official" line.

You are right about that. I watch Border Wars on Nat Geo channel all the time. They show glimpses of what is going on but they don't show the common people's problems with the cartels. I would not go anywhere without a firearm after watching that show last night. The scene last night that really drove home the fear these people are going through was the woman talking about putting locks on her closets. She put locks on both the outside and inside to protect her children from a home invasion. FWIW- my own opinion is the smugglers should be shot on sight if they are carrying AK's or bundles of dope.

Im in SoTx as well-the CC area. Its trying to get bad here but-fortunately--we now have a Sheriff and Police Chief who have tough "family jewelry" when it comes to crime.
