Well I could hold out no longer. I really wanted an LWRC but they were out of my price range so I picked up a S&W M&P15X.

Nice rifle and I think it will be very happy here. Only thing is I can hear it saying..."Need accessories, need accessories". Is this normal?

Very nice! Yes it is normal for the voices you here saying "I need accessories" LOL I have the M&P 15T. Have already bought a EoTech Holographic sight, Magpul 30rd clip, a CMMG 30rd clip, hogue grips (on order), a forend battle grip,(on order), and looking at one or two point harness.

Have fun!

I have been looking at these...

I looked at those too. very nice. (the magpul sling) I think I can get a blackhawk with the attachment ring for around half the cost of the magpul. I am gonna take a look at one first before I make my decision.

You gonna put a sight on your rifle? If so, what kind?

Once you start looking around at all the stuff you can do to these rifles its mind boggling, but FUN!

I really want an Eotech but that will have to wait for a while. I plan on ordering the MS2 sling when it comes in stock. I just ordered some food for it and a couple extra mags last night.

Did you order the magpul mags? what ammo did you get?

I bought two of these,
Mags

and I ordered 1000 rounds of Wolf FMJ and 500 rounds of Georgia Arms "Canned Heat". I will break the rifle in with the brass and then use the steel .

Good looking mags. Let me know how they work for you. With the ammo your getting you be in good shape to break your M&P right!

Let me know, after you fire it, how you like it.

Will do, but the pain in the arse is that I have to wait for GA to ship my ammo (last batch was three weeks out) before I can break it in. And the Wolf will be here on the 7th.

So in the meantime all I can do is hunt carpet ninjas.

Thanks for the reply. That sounds like a great idea, could you list for me the items that I will need to do this and your recommendation for places to buy them?
Thanks.

there are many options available as to reloading...i would suggest start with the rockchucker supreme single stage kit...has about everything you need....add a tumbler to clean your brass and dies...good to go!
a HUGE moneysaver and a really fun hobby too..i'm in central va.(just south of richmond)if you are in the area i can advise as to places that carry reloading supplies

Nice EBR! I have the EoTech on my M&P along with the Thunder Ranch light kit. The EoTech is really fast for the close in stuff and I can still ring the 300 yard steel with no problem. I have less than a thousand rounds thru it but so far it runs and shoots without a hitch. I do beleave you are gonna like your new rifle!

sig...ok cool...i'm in hopewell...check greentops in ashland and dances in col.hgts.if i can be of further help....dont hesitate to ask

My 15X came from Greentops.

Thanks again, I found it online at MidwayUsa for what appears to be a decent price.

Well I took it out and only had forty rounds to put down range approx 45yds (waiting on shipment of ammo). This is my back yard and my first time shooting an AR and it was with iron sights kneeling, resting on a small (too damn small) table. At my age (55) the eyes aren't what they used to be so I had to use my Bushnell binoculars to see what I shot. I think with some practice I can improve.
