Bought a Model 28-3 Highway Patrolman

I have a 28-3 6 inch I am considering selling if interested.

I know this is an old threat, but they did make 8 3/8" barrel model 28's too. Someone on here has one and posted a picture at one point.

A belated congratulations on your 28-3! This got me to thinking, I've seen a lot of damaged Kframes, large bore Nframes, and a blowed up Colt or two, but I haven't seen any damaged (maybe a bulged barrel) Nframe .38/357.......ever.

The Highway Patrolman is an N-Frame. This is the same frame S&W used to build the .44 Magnum, which produces far higher pressures than the .357 Magnum...

That is incorrect; the 44 and 357 Magnums operate at nearly identical pressures.
