I had no intention of doing this but after shooting a few hundred rounds out of my 1978 Model 41, as I was leaving the gunshop I walked past another Model 41 on consignment. So I looked.

It's A137XXX (1971?), 5 1/4" barrel, original box (with correct SN and barrel length on it), one mag with metal follower, one mag with plastic follower. Some chips on the grips, a few thin blue spots on the barrel. Top of the front sight is shiny in the white; all blue is gone. The frame and slide are perfect.

It was $965 after tax. I figured that was about a $1200 gun, but maybe not.

Are you happy with it? If so then you did good...........

Sounds like a gun in good shape which is worth $1200. all day long.

If the plastic follower is orange, it's most likely a 12 rounder, which will add to the value. Either way, sounds like you did OK.
