Cleaned it off with some Hoppe's...definitely was white paint.

Wow...not exactly off to a good start are we?

I think there may have been a little dab on mine too, but not as much as yours.

I see lots of people on this forum have reliability issues...well I shot mine for the first time today...

40 rounds of PMC bronze and 40 rounds of Federal white box M80. Everything ran 100% and was pretty accurate at 25 yards. I kinda suck with iron sights standing...but it was as accurate as my AR15's with irons and standing. Cleaned and lubed her yet again. Also worth noting I cycled the action about 100 times last night when it was lubed up. Maybe that's why I had 100% success? Or maybe because I actually cleaned and lubed before shooting?

Nice gun, I like. My shoulder hurts though. :D

Mine has it. I left it. Wasn't hurting anything and i have about 400 rounds on mine and only 3 ftf total all with cheap zqi turkish ammo. 165 gr gamekings shoot 1/2 inch gfoups at 100 yards. Sounds like you have a good rifle.

It is on all of them apparently. I would guess it is a factory assembling proof marker or the likes. Other more important things to think about on am MP-10 than a dot of white paint..
