The Big Piney Sportsman's Club located on Highway B about half way between Houston, and Raymondville Missouri holds Defensive Pistol Matches monthly. Our match requires 50 rounds per entry. Multiple entries are welcome. Multiple Divisions, or the same Division. We normally set up 4 Stages each requiring 12 rounds. Some Stages require a reload on the clock, while others do not. All mandatory reload will be at 6 rounds, not 8. We are Revolver Neutral, not 1911 Neutral. We have a Shoot House we use in some Stages. Several Simulators such as car doors, store counters, etc.
Divisions:
CDP Custom Defensive Pistol (45acp All Steel Pistols like 1911's)
SSP Stock Service Pistol (Combat Tupper Ware)
SSR Stock Service Revolvers (Centerfire loaded with 6 rounds only, no barrel length restrictions, no loader restrictions)
Rimfire (Revolvers and Semi-automatic)
BUG Back Up Gun ( 5 Rounds loaded J Frame Neutral)
We try and keep the Stages realistic, or improving skills, such as shooting while moving.
BUG shoots the same course of fire as everything else. ONLY 5 rounds at a time instead of 6. No penalty for not firing the 6th shot required in all other Divisions.
Targets are IDPA Silhouettes.
Scoring is the same as IDPA.
First Individual entry $10, all additional entries $5.
Family Entry $10 first family member, $5 all additional family entries.
FALLING PLATE Side Match.
While waiting to shoot the Defensive Pistol Match, we have a NEW Falling Plate Rack Side Match to give you something else to do. Range 10, and 15 yards. Rounds required, 24 per entry.
Entry Fee $5 per entry.
Divisions are the same as Defensive Pistol.
BUG you only shoot 5 rounds at 5 plates, instead of 6.
