I am a pretty average nut. I like custom work on guns and have a good number of 1911 which have a LOT of custom work done on them.
Unfortunately, the Gunsmith, Vanden Berg Custom, does not do revlovers.
My usual modus operendi is to find a piece for a project and go from there. I enjoy the process and each piece that comes from it.
I am new to this world of revolvers. I have also decided to stick with S&W. It seem that I can get the project pieces pretty reasonalble.
NOW, this is where you folks come in.
Aside from wanting an utterably reliable piece--I want some other touches. I just don't know what they are---but you folks do.
Can you post some pics of custom work done, point me to some good folks who do this and---ABOVE ALL---give me some ideas of work that you would want---Ideas, brainstorming.
I am not in a big hurry and i want to gather as much information about this process as I can before I wade into deep water.
I look forward to reading your thoughts.
Blessings
