A new restaurant opened recently. It is called Tucanos Brazilian Grill. It seems to be an all-you-can eat place that is fairly reasonably priced ($25/person) for what you get.

Apparently, they bring around skewers of grilled meat (about a dozen different types), vegetables, and pineapple until you say "Stop". Meats include Top Sirloin, Bacon wrapped Beef Tenderloin, Garlic Parmesan Beef, Marinated Beef Brisket, Brazilian Sausage, Brown Sugar-glazed Ham, Pork Loin, Turkey wrapped in Bacon, and others!:D It also has a large salad and hot bar. One thing I wondered about was, if you prefer your red meat rare or medium rare, is that possible or do they grill all skewers the same?

Anybody here tried a place like this? What did you think?

I will be checking it out when my son who eats prodigious quantities, comes for a visit in a couple of weeks. Hate the traffic on Woodruff Road, but Cabela's, Academy, and Palmetto State Armory are all right there, so there might be a buying opportunity. ;)

I've eaten at similar restaurants here in Denver and London.

You can get the meat done as you like.

Be careful you don't fill up on cheaper meats waiting for the sirloin or filet. The meat is offered in no particular order so it's good to know the range of meats on offer before you start sampling.

Generally good value and good quality.

Must be a chain.
We got one here in Albuquerque.
It is a genuine POP - Pig Out Palace.
Make sure you are hungry when you go there!
Lots of food and especially lots of meat.

I over ate at one in Texas recently. It costs about twice the price you gave.

Yep. Had one here for the last 10 years at least. The owner has this one and another on in center city. Love it! The bring out the meat and you say "when" and what type of cut. Get a little card with green on one side and red on the other. Flip it to red and they won't come around to you till you flip it to green.

The best part about this place though is the bar.....IMO. Roughly 400 beers to choose from. Amazing wings and burgers and rabbit stew inside a bowl made from bread! Cherizzos and cheese platters. ..oh my!!

I've never been to one of these places & one of these days I'm going!

Fogo de Chao in Atlanta, but the price is
at least $50 per person. Maybe higher now.
It has been 2-3 years since I was there.

Chama Goucha on the west side of Chicago, just as described above great place for meat lovers!

About $50 a piece. My favorite restaurant.

We had one, back in the late 90s. I wasn't real impressed.

I'd be in the mood for cow, and here comes the "gaucho" with a hunk of pig in his sword.

Or chicken. Or turkey. Or something BESIDES what I wanted.

Golden Corral, or someplace like that, has all the choices out there. I can look it over and decide whether I want lasagna or fried chicken or steak. I don't have to do a "yes or no" on what's being offered.

I went twice. Second time was to see if they were having a bad night the first time. Never tried for three.

I guess a lot of folks didn't come back. It closed after about a year.

I ate at one in Rio de Janiero several years ago. It was quite the experience but you rapidly fill up on meat. So while it's eat all you want it's also self limiting.

We had one, a few years ago, on the far north end of Columbus/Worthington, I don't think it lasted 3 months! They never seemed to serve what I wanted in the time limit of when I was there. It was in the $25 range, but that was/is a lot of money for what you don't want!
