Church's Fried Chicken and Waffle House Diet Update:65 pounds

ringo, now sine you've had your surgery to help with the pain.. you'll be able to do more... that will help you get out of the house more & have less temptation to snack as you watch TV or be on the computer .... Friend had an electrical stimulator put in to help with his back pains...... it has really helped on that... Bill hasn't gained any more weight since he got it put in & has even lost about 20lbs... I'm hoping you will too.

Know that you are in our prayers hand.

It's all about will. You can cure most anything that ails you with willpower. You can quit smoking, quit drinking, quit heroin or any other vice. Make up your mind that you WILL do it, every morning tell yourself that you will accomplish your goal that day. It's in all of us. But you have to want to. If that cigarette, or drink or fat pill is more important than your loved ones, or life itself, you aren't really trying.
A lot of people say they will try, while in their mind they are resentful that they can't do what they want to. They don't like to be told by family or their doctor, or anybody else, what they need to do. Those won't do it.
Congrats redlevel.

Anybody who thinks fat in the diet contributes to fat in the belly or cholesterol in the bloodstream hasn't been paying attention. That paradigm was wrong headed from the get-go. It's carbs, especially refined carbs, breads, rice, potatoes, pasta and starch. Eat all the bacon and eggs you want to, skip the pancakes and biscuits. I lost 40 lbs over 10 years ago and have kept it off. Once in a VERY great while I'll splurge and eat biscuits or pasta or bread and as good as they taste going down, they make me feel like pasture flop. Good for you!! I'll bet your cholesterol and liver enzyme tests will be golden.

All depends on what you eat and your physical fitness level. Carbs are definitely a factor but so fat

Altho I don't recommend it, I'm down to 190 from 235..... I had all of my remaining teeth pulled and got dentures...still trying to learn to eat all over again... Never realized that before, my tongue could feel my teeth, and my teeth could feel my tongue.. now it's a one way street... FLOSS GUYS....

I can't say you're entirely wrong on that one. I've been sober over 30 years now and gave up a 35 year tobacco habit 2 years ago. I probably could have lost the weight by will power alone. But it would have taken a lot longer - more time than I was prepared to wait to get relief for my bad knee.

There is one other big factor about weight loss that makes it totally different than booze, drugs, tobacco, etc. You can completely abstain from tobacco, alcohol, and drugs, but you can't completely cut food out of your life. That makes it significantly different - and more difficult in my opinion. And I ought to know - since I'd already kicked booze and tobacco.

Thank you and,I have been thinking of joining a gym since my insurance pays for it. Either that,or im thinking of buying a thick tired bicycle. Isaw some that Academy had, dont remember their prices, but were exactly what I want. I lost during and after surgery, about seven pounds. My tightest t-shirt--is a bit looser these days. :)

The hottest jalapeno pepper that I ever ate in my life came from a Church's Fried Chicken! :D

if you tried that Salsa Verde im always crowing about--then tried another from Churchs, you wouldnt even feel any heat from the Churches pepper. You would think its a piece of lettuce.:D

When I do splurge on tortilla chips, I take about a dozen chips, no more, and crunch them up in a cereal bowl. Then I put about half a jar of salsa on it and eat it with a spoon... just enough crunch and no guilt or bloat.

I hadn't thought about doing is as a types of cereal.....sounds good to me.
