Yep. I have a 4" 32 S&W long. Love it. Could carry, I guess but I have a 44 snubby which is much better

But not in any aluminum alloy frame! Keep it steel alloy of some sort. (stainless included)

I have a few I frames but find that the small trigger guard is a bit too small for me. Nice gun and conceals real easy, but the trigger guard and the small grip frame are the spoilers for me to actually carry one as a SD gun. I have recently carried one (just temporarily) while my EDC M60-7 was at the Grip Makers to have a set of Ivory's made and I was a bit concerned about the small trigger guard while carrying it. It was my Dad's and that contributed to the reason why I chose that one to use, but now I think I should have selected another gun as a stand in. Thankfully it was not called into service.

Just like a "j and a half" frame revolver (either a 6-shot 38 or a 5-shot 44 spl), a new i-frame will never be more than just a dream no matter how much sense it might make.

S&W could offer it in so many iterations for today's concealed carry market.

The original I frames would probably not stand up well to .32 Mag's but with the heat treating they can do today, I would say they could probably do it.

I would think no more than a 5 round capacity for a .32 Magnum.
