Hi, guys and gals! As all of you know who have been following my tragedy of my 2.5" Nickle 19-4. I killed a K frame and was going to retire this tired little K frame. Well you all have talked me into keeping this little K frame alive. So I will grant your wishes. I currently have a 2.5" barrel and will be transforming it into a 4" barrel. Now here is the kicker. Since you all have talked me into keeping her going I will include you guys in my little project. I will post pics and do a scapbook for the 28 year old girl. so she has something to look at when she does retire. So lets give her a face lift. What color do you guys think She should be? I am not going to include Pinto because I am just not fond of pinto and I think pintos just look funky....Sorry all of you Pinto fans...

Well, since I don't own any nickles and only a couple of stainless, I guess I'm a blue guy, but I did vote for nickle. I'm with some other posts, stick with the original, but in the end, do what your gut and heart tell you to do. Enjoy it no matter what!

I'm a believer in blue steel and wood, but this gun was born in nickel, and it should be re-born in shiny, high-polished nickel as well. One other thing for you to consider - S&W produced waaaay more blued guns than nickel (probably at least 100 - 500 blues for each nickel), so it's a bit different. Nickel is also a very durable finish (just don't use ammonia-based solvents on the gun). Also, how many guns can you use as a mirror to shave with? Adds another practical use for the gun.

I voted Nickle, but I've been thinking about a Pinto project. I've never been much for the flashy, until I held a 19 Pinto.

Well the polls are closed and the result is a tie....So for the tie breaker I get to vote...Since every one who responded to this wrote that they want to see the gun re-nickled and not blued..I will
(RE-NICKLE THE REVOLVER)
Stay tuned for the photos of my little project....it will be picture heavy. Thanks for everyones help
