BRINGING OUT THE BIG GUNS IN WASHINGTON

Thanks for posting! It's true the lines snaked up and around in the equivalent of several blocks. It was really hard to tell what the overall opinion was of the masses. I would guess that most were against I-594 and were for I-591.

There was also a lot of talk/ideas about allowing people with CPL's to purchase from gun shows etc. with no background checks. Those without CPL's should have background checks before being allowed to take any weapon from the shows. Most did not include private sales in the discussions regarding background sales. (I'm speaking of group discussions and even some that spoke in the forum).

There was a lot of repetitiveness in the open forum and a lot of using only facts/particle facts to sway the committee. Several people speaking against I-594 did have printed referenced facts for the committee and anyone who was interested in see the facts in full not just cut to fit their agenda.

I still think it's a toss up as to what will come of I-594 but seems that more than not were for I-591.

A frustrating, aggravating, yet "feel good" day being able to witness today's events at the capitol.

PS... Just got home by the way. Three hour drive to get there and 3 1/2 hours to get home. Well worth the trip to voice my opinion.
