Check out what happened to my 15-22 two weekends ago. I took my 14 year old daughter to an Appleseed event (digression: Appleseed is a great shooting & patriotic activity if you've never been before; this was our first time and it was outstanding). Suddenly the 15-22 stopped working.
We took the bolt carriage assembly out, and this fell out. Obviously the spring is toast and I'm thinking a pin or something is missing as well.
I've only had the 15-22 about 3-4 months and only have about 500 rounds through it.
So is this a warranty call to S&W, or is it a couple of minutes simple fix that a local gunsmith can easily pop back together? Advice?
