Brownell's web site changes

I've been a customer for 30 years, now they don't recognize my user name or password. When I try and recover them they say "email sent, but nothing.
I'll give them some time then a phone call to them.

Goats, I ran into the same thing just now but it did redirect me to update my old username and I had to update my old password to meet the new format requirements. My recent order history is still there but I had over $1000 worth of merchandise in a saved cart to complete a project that is no longer anywhere to be found.

I don't like change but I went to the website and had no trouble using it. I actually can see the item better than before.

Brownells had a printed catalog, actually a book.
I recently saw one in an antique store.

It was about 2 inches thick and about 8.5x12".

It had part numbers, diagrams and information for all the US firearms in production at the time of printing.

I am giving up on Brownells until they get their website in order. It is exceeding difficult, no agonizing, to find things. Almost like solving a puzzle to narrow down the choices. It's work to shop there.

Just now I managed to fill my cart with a good bit of stuff. Went to check out and there was a system error. It emptied my cart, so I'd have to re-enter everything if I wanted to try it again. I'm not keen on that.

OK, I tried "live chat" but apparently it's "dead chat" because they said they're closed. I guess that makes sense; it is Sunday evening. So I sent them a scathing email.

It really pains me to see them do this to themselves. I've been a customer for decades. My career is technology so it's not like websites confound me - usually. Brownells' site got the best of me though.

I'll cease with the rant now. Thanks for listening! :D
