i saw my first browning trombone a month ago. It was all fancied up,so was the price. since then only about 50% of gunners even heard of one. How come?can they shoot or did they just look pretty. everyone like the semi,s...
When I was a kid, I learned to shoot using my granddad’s Browing Trombone. It was a great shooting rifle and accurate. I shot many a squirrel with that gun. The Trombone is similar to the Winchester Model 61.
I found one about 6 months or so back at a pawn shop. It is in about 75% condition. I had to look it up to find out what it was. Made by FN and was sold mostly in Europe and Canada. Not a lot of them here in the US.
It does look like a 61, but the magazine tube on the FN moves back and forth with the forend.
I love old sleek light rimfires
