I have a Browning X-Bolt "Hunter" (Wood stocked/Matte Finished Metal) in 270 Winchester.
Likes:
1) You can release the bolt without having to move off safety by depressing the button where the bolt handle meets the bolt body.
2) User adjustable trigger.
3) Short lift bolt handle.
4) Mine likes Federal Fushion 130 grn. Gets SUB MOA on a good day with low/no wind and I do my part.
5) Mine LOVES my handloads even more.
Dislikes:
1) I bought mine as soon as the X-Bolt hit the market. It was nearly impossible to find scope bases. Maybe that has changed.
2) DON"T TURN THE SLOTTED SCREW HEAD ON THE BACK OF THE DETACHABLE MAGAZINE!!! (Don't ask how I know this). Bad thinks will happen, aka FTF.
3) I always try to carry a spare magazine with my DM guns. You lose the mag while on a stalk and you have a single shot, without a spare magazine. I've had the rifle for four years and just found a spare late last year.
In reality my only complaints other than I turned the screw head on the magazine were supply chain problems for accesories, not problems with the rifle.
Would I buy another? Maybe, leaning more likely toward yes than no.
