Buds Guns Question(s)

Some dealers hate Bud's because places like Buds (and other large distributors) who sell 1,000's of guns a day can afford to go for a lower price point...........because they understand that if you sell your 9mm M&P's for $40 lower you will sell 10,000 more of them.

I have been at my FFL when Buds has sent guns
seems to be the same as anyone else shippments.

I get the I dont like Budds deals attitude but than dont do transfers your choice

I see some shops charge 50.00 for transfers they my as well say we dont do them instead of embarrassing themselves

Just look for local dealers that are on Bud's "preferred FFL list" which means they are already on file and probably do a lot of Bud's transfers.

I've used Bud's several times with good results. Was going to ordered a couple and the prices JUMPED over $60 in the last couple days from what they were (Christmas Gluttony?). Should have ordered last week. Merry Christmas Bud's.

... One tip though, check to see if Bud has the model you're looking for auction on GunBroker. Often times he cuts his own price by $20-$40.

BUT, they then add shipping, which is included in their website price. So the price difference is minimal. Of all the times that I've checked, the difference between ordering direct from Bud's website, and buying from them through a Gunbroker auction has been only a few bucks, one way or the other. I'd rather order direct from them if it's available that way.

One of my local small home FFL's pretty much survives on GunBroker and Bud's transfers.

FFL transfer fee's.

In my area we have 5-6 dealers all pretty much in competition for business. Luckily, it seems the price (for now) is currently $25.

Not too bad when compared to others I've heard about (outrageous pretty much). Sad thing is, anytime I'm bargain shoping online...I just add $50 to the price of the gun for shipping and transfer fee's. I have seen some rather unscrupulous sellers who hope you hit the *BUY NOW* before seeing the $30-$50 "Priority Mail" on shipping. It's killed what would have been a few good deals for me.

Here's the 4" I got from Bud's. Think I did OK for the price.

A friend ordered an M10 from Bud's.....just took delivery on Saturday. A 10-10, 4" heavy barrel, round butt, with original Smith grips (with medallion). I checked it over for him, before he accepted delivery and did the paperwork. It has the usual holster wear, but functions perfectly. The barrel is perfect - shows little use. A great gun for $269 shipped, plus $20 for the transfer fee. As for the finish wear, no problem. A re-blue will take care of that.

I am considering ordering 2 more from Bud's, while they still have some.
